Bethalynne - A Steampunk Faerie

Bethalynne is one of those sculptures which on occasion I have great difficulty parting with! She really turned out far better than I imagined she would, and so I am well pleased!
Bethalynne also reminds me of someone, which sometimes happens when I am sculpting, and so she is named after a very talented artist and beautiful person I am fortunate enough to call my friend!
Bethalynne's most striking feature is her birdcage hoop skirt. It is of wire and wood, with an opening which latches on the bottom. There is another opening in the front, and tiny hinged door at the bottom. Inside I have sculpted an "automoton" bird with a copper finish. The bird does not chirp, but looks as though it can, as it hangs from it's swinging perch.
Bethalynne's dress is a steampunk-ish, with Victorian flair. Lots of organdy ribbon and rosettes. At her waist is a butterfly with a skeleton key with topaz gemstones. She wears a cameo broach and gold butterfly choker. Her hat is a concoction of marabou, tulle, organdy ribbon adorned with a gold rose.
She measures 16 inches tall. The base of the bird cage is about 6 inches round. Her arms are poseable, she is shown holding her skirts to display her little pet beneath, but the dress can be lowered as well.
